Education and Youth: Supporting Students from Cancer-Affected Families
Education opens doors to opportunities and empowers young people to build a better future. Recognising the importance of accessible education, BE International continues to support students from cancer-affected families through the MAKNA Scholarship Programme supported by BE International, with a further contribution of RM160,000 for the 2026/2027 academic year.
This contribution fulfils the second year of BE International’s RM320,000 commitment to the programme for the 2025–2027 period. With this latest contribution, the company’s total support for the MAKNA Scholarship Programme supported by BE International reaches RM520,000 since 2024.
Making Education More Accessible
BE International first supported the MAKNA Scholarship Programme in 2024 with a contribution of RM200,000, helping 141 students from primary school to university continue their education despite the financial challenges their families faced due to cancer.
Building on this initial contribution, BE International committed a further RM320,000 over two years. In the first year of this commitment, RM160,000 in scholarship assistance benefited 123 students from cancer-affected families.
Through this initiative, BE International aims to ease the financial burden on affected families and help students continue pursuing their educational aspirations. The support reflects the company's belief that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and reach their potential, regardless of the challenges they face.
